What Is Platysmaplasty?
The platysma is a thin sheet of muscle extending from the upper chest through the neck and into the lower face. As these muscles weaken or separate, they may contribute to vertical bands or a less defined neck contour.
Platysmaplasty is the surgical tightening or repositioning of these muscles. It may be included as part of a neck lift when muscle banding or structural looseness contributes to the patient's concerns. It is not necessary for every patient.

FaceTite with neck liposuction
FaceTite uses radiofrequency-assisted technology beneath the skin and may be combined with liposuction when localized fat and mild-to-moderate laxity are the primary concerns. It does not remove a significant amount of hanging skin.
Morpheus8 Face & Neck
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to treat the skin and underlying tissue. It may be considered for texture concerns and mild laxity, but it cannot duplicate the degree of correction available through surgical skin removal or platysma repair.

A neck lift is the overall procedure used to improve loose skin and contours of the neck. Platysmaplasty specifically addresses the platysma muscles and may be one part of a neck lift.
Can a neck lift get rid of a double chin?
A neck lift may improve fullness beneath the chin when it is related to loose skin and underlying tissues. Liposuction may be added when localized fat is also present. Some patients with good skin elasticity may need liposuction or FaceTite rather than a surgical lift.
Is FaceTite the same as a neck lift?
