What to Expect

We look at your skin and hair, talk through your goals and map out a plan.
- Before your visit
Shave the area a day ahead, and skip waxing, plucking and tanning for a few weeks before.
- Treatment
Small areas take a few minutes. Larger areas like the legs or back take longer.
- After
Some redness is normal for a few hours. Skip makeup and lotion on the area for 24 hours, and limit sun and heat.
- Your series
Most people need about 6 to 8 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Hair thins out a little more with each visit.
Is Laser Hair Removal Right for You?
DiolazeXL is safe for every skin type on the Fitzpatrick scale, from very fair to very dark.
It works best on darker hair. Light blonde, gray, white or red hair doesn't have enough pigment for the laser to target, so we'll tell you honestly at your consultation if it's not a good match.

How many sessions will I need?

When can I wear makeup or lotion again?
Wait 24 hours before putting makeup or lotion on the treated area.
What should I do after treatment?
Limit sun and heat exposure for a few days. A cortisone or anti-itch cream is fine if the area feels irritated.
Can I shave between sessions?
Yes. Shaving is fine between visits. Avoid waxing, plucking and threading, since the laser needs the root in place.
